Hair removal devices work by emitting light energy, which is absorbed by the melanin in hair follicles. Melanin is what gives our skin and hair their dark color. It's not recommended for skin with dense melanin; IPL light targets melanin. For darker skin types, IPL devices can't differentiate between skin and hair; sometimes the light will target the skin. This is why IPL is not recommended for darker skin types.

An effective IPL hair removal treatment typically requires three to four months to achieve lasting results. For the first eight weeks, it is recommended to apply the device two to three times per week to visibly reduce hair. In the following weeks, the frequency can be reduced to once every two weeks to consolidate the results. Once the desired effect is achieved, maintenance sessions are suggested every four weeks, adjusting according to skin type and hair growth rate.
It's normal to notice some superficial hair growth at the beginning of treatment; the key is consistency. Each area of the body reacts differently, so it's important to adapt your treatment according to your skin's tolerance. If growth is more intense, you can increase the frequency as recommended. Always monitor your skin's response and, if you have any questions, consult a dermatologist.
Not recommended for daily use. Hair growth is not sufficient for successful treatment (minimum length is 1 mm). It is best to wait for at least 1 mm of hair to grow back before continuing with the next treatment.
Typically, the effects of IPL treatment can be seen after 2 to 3 weeks, and hair growth slows; after 6 to 8 weeks of treatment, almost no hair is visible. However, users will need to repair it according to hair growth to avoid hair regrowth issues.
